Isaac F. Davis, a New York-based writer, and director, is renowned for his captivating, emotive, and grand filmmaking style. Born in Tallahassee, Florida, Isaac began his filmmaking journey at the age of 9 when he discovered inspiration in DreamWorks' 1998 animated film, "The Prince of Egypt." Growing up in a religious household, Isaac's connection to the story of Exodus was deeply rooted. Witnessing the narrative unfold on a modest Sony tube television in Chicago, Illinois, ignited his passion for the art of making motion pictures.
During high school, Isaac directed a powerful two-and-a-half-minute short film that earned him a prestigious national prize of $50,000, laying the foundation for his budding filmmaking career. At The College of William & Mary, he refined his skills as a visionary business owner and filmmaker. Isaac authored and directed several impactful works during his college years, culminating in the award-winning short film "Solo Orange" (2018). Produced with a dedicated crew of nearly fifteen college students, Solo Orange garnered accolades at various festivals, including Best Student Film at the New York Cinematography Awards in 2019 and Best Short Film at the Mindfield Film Festival in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 2019.

He is of Jewish ancestry on his mother's and father's sides and comes from a proud, rich Jewish heritage and home. David is the proud grandchild of Holocaust survivors on his father's side. His grandfather was a beautician on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, which was the family's business back in Poland. His paternal grandmother earned her PhD and was a world-renowned scholar of the astronomer Copernicus. She also taught math and authored books on her research and work as a science historian. His maternal grandparents were born in Kansas City, Missouri, and Kansas City, Kansas respectively and both came from Jewish European immigrant parents forced to flee antisemitism from Russia, Poland, and Lithuania.
His paternal grandmother is the direct descendant of King David, the third king of the united Israel during the second Jewish temple period in Jerusalem. He comes from a long line of talented musicians, academics, performers, and a very athletic family, sports were the center of the home, and lots of music. He and his sister were both athletes growing up and all through college. The arts, music, and creativity were always encouraged and permeated the home. As a child, he watched his mom and sister perform on stage in community theater plays and musicals, he wasn't interested at that time, it was all sports for him, but he did love to dance and sing and would perform in talent shows and local commercials as a kid. His dad is a classically trained concert pianist and a music therapist who worked at a mental hospital/prison, he also played the keyboard in a classic rock cover band. His sister played the clarinet, flute, and fast-pitch softball in high school and college and he played the trumpet, sang in chorus, played baseball, and soccer, ran cross country, and was on the swim team in high school. His maternal grandfather was an oboist who had a doctorate in music and taught double reed instruments at colleges and universities all over the U.S.
In college at High Point University, he played NCAA Division I baseball as a conference starting pitcher and earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. An injury to his hip after his freshman season at Divison III Greensboro College while playing in a summer wood bat league in front of MLB scouts eventually hindered his trajectory and lifelong dreams of playing professionally. During his senior year of college, he took his first acting class, discovered the theatre, and immersed himself in the performing arts, singing, and fell in love with the craft of acting. After graduating, he moved to New York City, where he was a personal trainer, model, and actor landing roles in commercials, Off-Broadway plays, and indie films within the first year. He trained with the legendary teacher Bob Luke and later under the watchful eye and tutelage of Julie Garfield at T. Schreiber Studios in Chelsea for many years.
David is also an Israeli citizen, having moved there in 2008 a year after embarking on a personal and spiritual journey that led him to Israel on two separate group trips- both turning out to be life-changing. He put his U.S. acting career on hold while he lived in Jerusalem for seven years. Over those years he worked consistently on stage and screen throughout Israel and was featured with Israeli actors Yael Grobglas and Michael Aloni on the comedy TV series Hashualim (2010)
In his spare time, he works with musical artists on tour, speaks publicly as a Holocaust educator sharing his grandmother's story of survival, and is involved in the history of the Borscht Belt and its preservation in the Catskills Mountains.- Lacey Buehler was born in 1981 in Tallahassee, Florida, USA.
